Hi there!

Welcome to Postpartum Matters CIC, a non-profit aimed at supporting women+ through the postnatal period and beyond. All whilst breaking taboos and creating a space - online (here) & in person (at our Women’s Health Hub) - where women & girls (like you!) can talk about our experiences & learn about our bodies, so you can feel empowered to take charge of your own health.

Hi, I’m Zoe and I’d love to welcome you

I started Postpartum Matters CIC back in 2022 in response to my own, rather negative, lockdown postpartum experience. I am a full spectrum doula, a space holder & a creative with a passion for supporting folks through the perinatal period. I was diagnosed with autism in November 2022, and this is where I realised that women & those assigned female at birth are failed in so many different ways. not just in birth. From here the organisation branched out, we opened The Women’s Health Hub in April 2023 and we now offer free-to-access support to over 100 local women+ & girls every single month.

Paid subscriptions to this newsletter helps to pay for all of that vital work.

you'll most often find me at The Women's Health Hub, cutting cake, holding space or hosting creative workshops

Some interesting places to start:

Reasons to become a free subscriber:

  • You follow us on other social media platforms but always miss our content! Substack is a beautiful space away from algorithms and the noise of mainstream social media.

  • You want a simple way to keep informed around the services we have available at The Women’s Health Hub

  • You’re interested in supporting and empowering women+ and want to follow our journey to setting up a magical space which does just that - maybe with the hopes of setting a space up for yourself one day?!

Reasons to become a paid subscriber:

  • You want to receive our beautiful membership magic benefits ~ such as our seasonal community connection circles & our Mindful Bookbinding sessions

  • You are financially able to support us in this way

  • You like how I write and want access to the more personal shares that are behind the paywall

  • You love the free-to-access support we offer - maybe you even attend some of our sessions? - and you want to contribute financially to the running of The Women’s Health Hub on a monthly basis

  • You want to be part of an inclusive online community and/or receive support with other women+

  • Paid subscriptions here are a great way for us to build up a regular income stream. This is really crucial for the long term sustainability of The Women’s Health Hub and will hopefully go a long way in encouraging funders to support us financially too. Your £6 a month (or £60 a year) can go a long way to making our dream a reality and we are so incredibly grateful.

Nice things other subscribers have said…
